Join Alliance for Girls* (AFG) on Monday, May 18th, for our Annual Members Meeting, one of Alliance for Girls' hallmark events where AFG's community (including service providers, community leaders, parents/caregivers, advocates, and girls and gender-expansive youth) come together to connect, celebrate each other, strategize, and learn from one another. We're thrilled to be hosting this year's gathering in person!

This year in particular will be truly special and unlike typical professional convenings. We're centering not only building solidarity and collective strategy but also promoting wellness and restoration, community care, and future dreaming. Specifically, the Members Meeting will be a place for:

  • Showing up as you are and participating in whatever will fill your cup, first and foremost.
  • Celebrating one another and our collective impact on girls, gender-expansive youth, and their communities.
  • Participating in honest discussions on political and funding impacts on organizations, youth mental health and safety, and current advocacy efforts.
  • Informing AFG’s key projects aimed at strengthening support for girls and gender-expansive youth and the organizations that serve them, including the Youth Mental Health and Safety Study, Political Impact Project, and Reclaiming Safety in Schools.
  • Building intergenerational solidarity and connection
  • Centering wellness and restoration, with a dedicated wellness space for folks to participate in throughout the day.
  • Boldly imagining the future we're fighting for—for and with girls and gender-expansive youth—through a creative, future dreaming booth.

Youth are welcome and encouraged to attend! We'll also have a confidential group storytelling circle for young people to talk about mental health and safety, facilitated by AFG's trained youth researchers. Youth who participate will receive incentives and mental health resources. Learn more about AFG's YPAR (Youth Participatory Action Research) Mental Health and Safety Study here.

A light breakfast and a delicious lunch will be provided.

We want to uplift your work. There will be resource tables in the lobby for members to distribute their program flyers and resources. If you’d like to bring materials/swag, please contact Kailin Chou at kailin@alliance4girls.org to ensure we have enough table space.

More details on speakers and agenda coming soon.
