Join us on Wednesday, May 18th for our Members Meeting, one of Alliance for Girls*' hallmark events where more than 100 members of AFG (including service providers, community leaders, parents/caregivers, girls, and other girls' champions) come together for conversations, community-building and support.

As we continue to navigate the pandemic and its impact on our communities and selves, Alliance for Girls is intentionally holding space for healing, restoration, and rest in the work that we do. This Members Meeting will emphasize healing, restoration, and rest as elements of radical safety, and the need to implement these elements for staff within girl*-serving organizations.

We will gather virtually on Zoom from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM to discuss healing and restoration in our organizations, enjoy healing-centered activities, and present two Gender Equity Awards to AFG members and partners. Afterwards, we will host an optional yoga activity outside at Snow Park in Oakland led by AFG member The Art of Yoga Project from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM.

At this Members Meeting we will:

Discuss healing and restoration for girl-serving organizations and staff as a core element of radical safety
Engage in healing-centered activities: Music Meditation and Facilitation Discussion on Healing Justice
Present three Gender Equity Awards in honor of AFG Members and Partners who have shown an outstanding commitment to serving girls and to racial and gender equity
Gather together outdoors for a yoga session led by member The Art of Yoga Project

Note: This Members Meeting will be hosted virtually on Zoom from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM with an optional in-person component at Snow Park in Oakland from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM.
