Since 2014, Alliance for Girls has been utilizing community-based action research to support the work of its members and change systems to better support girls. Last year, with the support of the Women's Foundation of California, AFG coordinated listening sessions that were designed by and for girlz* in San Francisco, Oakland, and San Jose.

The findings from these sessions are being published in our forthcoming report: Together We Rise: The Lived Experiences of Girls of Color in Oakland, San Francisco, and San Jose, which will illuminate the struggles, dreams, and recommendations for change from girlz across the Bay Area.

Join us at our community meetings** and be one of the first to get a sneak peak of the findings and contribute to the final recommendations in the report.

In Oakland, we're excited to co-host the meeting with the Women's Foundation of California and Girls Inc. of Alameda County. Our report back will include girlz' experiences across the Bay Area and a few highlights from Oakland's listening sessions.

Be in community with other girlz' champions while enjoying delicious food and refreshments from women-owned businesses.
